Privacy policy
Last updated 28 October 2026.
This policy explains what personal data Standard Fabtech collects when you use this website or contact us, why we collect it, and the choices and rights you have. We have written it to follow the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules.
1. Who we are
Standard Fabtech ("we", "us") fabricates, supplies and installs uPVC windows and doors in Kashmir. For the personal data described here, we are the data fiduciary.

2. What we collect
| Type | Examples | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Contact details | Name, phone or WhatsApp number, email address | Quote form, WhatsApp, calls, email |
| Project details | Site town and landmark, project type and stage, window and door types, sizes and quantities, frame colour, preferred timeline, messages | Quote form, product configurator, WhatsApp |
| Site location pin | The map position of your phone, only if you tap “add my location” on the quote form | Your browser, with your permission |
| Photos and drawings | Photos of openings or the house, plans and drawings you send | WhatsApp, email |
| Order records | Quotations, measurements, invoices and payment records, service requests | Our work with you |
| Basic technical data | The page you sent an enquiry from, the referring site and campaign tags (for example utm_source) | Your browser, when you submit the quote form |
The quote form has five steps. What you enter is saved each time you press Continue, so if you stop part-way we can still call you about your enquiry. Your answers are also kept in your own browser for up to three days, and the page address (and the email we send you) contains a private link that reopens your quote. Anyone who has that link can see your quote, and change it until you send it, so please do not share it.
We do not ask for sensitive personal data such as health information, passwords or bank card numbers through this website.
3. Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and give you an estimate and a written quotation
- To arrange and carry out the site survey, fabrication, delivery and installation
- To invoice, keep accounts and meet our legal and tax obligations
- To provide after-sales service and respond to complaints
- To understand which pages and enquiry routes work, so we can improve the website
- To send you information you have asked for, such as our catalogue
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing without your consent.
4. Consent and lawful use
When you send us an enquiry by form, WhatsApp, phone or email, you consent to us using your details for that enquiry and the work that follows. Where we have a contract with you, or a legal obligation such as keeping tax records, we use your data for those purposes. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us; this does not affect anything done before you withdrew it, or records we must keep by law.
5. Who we share it with
Only as needed to do the work and run the business:
- Our team who measure, fabricate, deliver and fit your windows
- Service providers who help us operate, such as messaging (WhatsApp, operated by Meta), email and website hosting, form handling and accounting, under appropriate confidentiality
- Transport partners, limited to the delivery address and a contact number
- Authorities where the law requires it
Messages you send on WhatsApp are also handled by WhatsApp under its own terms and privacy policy. Some service providers may store data outside India; where they do, we use providers with appropriate safeguards and follow any restrictions notified under Indian law.
6. Cookies and your device
This website does not set advertising cookies. It uses your browser's local storage for two conveniences: your "My quote list" (the products you choose) and the campaign tags of the link that brought you here, so they can be included if you send an enquiry. Nothing is sent to us until you choose to send it. You can clear this at any time from your browser settings or with the "Clear list" button.
We may add privacy-respecting analytics to count visits and button use. If we add tools that set cookies or track you across sites, we will update this policy and ask for consent where required.
7. Photos of your home
We photograph our work during and after installation. We may use photos of windows and doors we have fitted on this website and our social media. We avoid showing people, house numbers and other identifying details. If you would like a photo of your home removed, tell us and we will take it down.
8. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not go ahead: up to 24 months, so we can follow up if you come back to us, then deleted
- Customer and order records: for as long as needed for after-sales service and as required by tax and accounting law
- Photos and drawings you send: for the life of the project and its after-sales period
9. Keeping it safe
We limit access to people who need it, use password-protected accounts and devices, and use reputable service providers. No system is perfectly secure; if a personal data breach affects you, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
10. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and how we use it
- correct or update it
- erase it, where we no longer need it and the law does not require us to keep it
- stop using it for any purpose you consented to
- nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf in case of death or incapacity
Contact us using the details below. We may need to confirm your identity first. We aim to respond within 30 days.
11. Children
This website is meant for adults planning building work. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services, tools or the law change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
13. Questions and grievances
For any question, request or complaint about your personal data, contact our grievance officer:
